Project Manager – CRT, Derivatives recruitment

Experienced Project Manager with strong Front Office PM experience required to join a leading investment bank.

Main FunctionTo ensure that delivery to the CRT and Securitisation Derivatives desks is achieved in complete transparency. Provide a cohesive customer oriented delivery from various internal and external development teams, ensuring seamless progression and clarifying conflicting priorities. Establish sound project management standards to be used by CRT IT project leads

Main Duties 

• Ownership of a portfolio of projects within CRT, with responsibility for successful project delivery

• Working with development, business analysis and test teams to plan out project delivery and manage dependencies

• Project status reporting, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc as required

• Active identification and management of project risks and issues

• Manage project communication across technology and the business

• Providing business oversight to ensure cross project dependencies are understood

• Ensure consistent project documentation and sign off

• Undertake Project prioritisation with the business

• Preparation of longer term project roadmaps

Person Requirements 

•          Strong Front Office Project Management experience of the full software development lifecycle in a dynamic front office complex product environment (ideally derivatives products) is essential

•          Experience of managing a mixture of iterative and long running multi phase projects

•          Sound business facing experience

•          Ability to deal with robust personalities 

•          Highly structured and organised, with sound project tracking and proactive issue identification skills.

•          Proficient in use of MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint. JIRA

•          Awareness of formal project management methodologies such as Prince 2 and experience with management of Agile methods (SCRUM, EVO, RUP, XP)

•          Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well under pressure and adapts well to changes

•          Disciplined analysis and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail

•          Ability to define operational processes and ensure compliance

•          Strong diplomacy to ensure buy in to defined processes
