Project Manager – Data Management and Distribution recruitment

Principal Responsibilities 

Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of multiple technology and business solutions projects, using defined Data Management and Governance principles and approaches. The Project Manager defines and manages scope, budget, schedule and risk throughout multiple concurrent Data Management projects. PM coordinates resources with business partners and technical managers, in order to build, support and maintain global investment data marts. PM manages data quality control efforts, working with technical and support teams to increase detection, measurement and monitoring activities. Coordinates with Enterprise and other Investment Data Management professionals on Data Management tool analysis and implementation. Project Manager is expected to be a change agent: to raise, drive, and implement change based on experience and estimated outcomes. 

Responsible for assembling project plans and team work assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Acts as spokesperson for projects outside of the project team. PM coordinates communication and management of projects with strategic projects manager, to align to defined Data Management goals and objectives. Serves as a consultant and partner to business sponsors to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing appropriate technologies to achieve the goals of the Data Management program. Works closely with clients on business change management and business improvement activities and adoption. 

Effectively communicates and works closely with business partners to define project specifications, requirements gathering, training and development, using standard program management (PMP) principles. Coordinates approach to project management, data quality control, and system maintenance with other Data Management managers and teams. Responsible for directly managing a team of about 10 business analysts with responsibility for selection, training and development, and performance management in order to develop and maintain a high performing team.

Responsible for forecasting future resource needs based on proposed future initiatives and making necessary organizational changes accordingly. Acquires vendor contractor resources of varying skill-sets when necessary and manages the project activities of these resources.
