Project Manager – Data Management, Technology and Operations recruitment
The Technology and Operations team designs, develops and maintains computer application systems to support banking operations and provide innovative IT solutions, while harnessing new technologies to meet corporate objectives. In addition, the team centralizes, standardizes and regionalizes like-activities to achieve economies of scale and improve/re-engineer end-to-end processes to achieve world-class standards.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ensure that Business Requirements, Functional Design Specifications, Acceptance Test Plans and all Project Related artifacts are properly documented and established. Work allocation breakdown: 20% Production Support, 40% Project participation and 40% Project Management.
- Gather business requirements and translate business requirement into data model (optional) and solutions. Collaborate with the user community and other technical resources to develop suitable solution for operational usage.
- Work closely with business or operation teams to re-engineer processe by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted Business Systems and Owners.
- Handling of data issues resolution and involve in the end-to-end data flow analysis and review.
- Manage IT projects and lead project teams measured by timeline and service level commitment.
- Responsible for overall implementation and execution of projects and performance criteria.
- Establish proper data governance in the area of ownership, user reference code, data inter-dependencies, reduction of data duplication, etc.
Requirements
- Graduate with minimum 7 years of project management experience with a proven track record managing projects in a global IT environment preferrably from a banking/financial industry.
- Experience in managing Data Governance and/or Business Intelligence related project is preferred.
- At least 5 years of working experience in a Banking environment with general understanding of banking operations.
- Experience with business plan development, full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software development and testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely.
- Application system design and analysis experience along with exposure in application delivery processes.
- Experience in data management related areas e.g., data standards, data quality, data profiling, data impact analysis is preferred.
- Ability to work on problems/projects of diverse complexity and scope.
- Experience in performing data quality work.
- Familiarity with logical and physical data modelling is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL, Business Objects or any other enterprise reporting tools.
