Project Manager – Derivatives Middle Office Market and Regulatory Change Team recruitment

Experienced Project Manager required to work closely with the Front Office, Middle Office, Operations function and IT to drive the Agile delivery of the IT solution, ongoing requirements gathering based on regulatory developments, and co-ordination with cross-asset stakeholders. Additionally the candidate will be responsible for a weekly consolidated reporting pack across Confirmations, Transaction Reporting and IT, and participation on a weekly steering committee comprising of senior stakeholders across DMO, IT and Operations.
The scope of Project Manager role includes liaising with all stakeholders, Business representatives and all other relevant functions for the following:
- Business Requirements- working closely with the Market Data Strategy team, DMO and the IT team to keep abreast of all regulatory developments as they arise and ensuring that plans and development are adjusted accordingly
- Target Operating Model- putting together and driving implementation around an operational model to support the centralised reporting capability in a production environment
- Product Owner of the IT build, seeking assistance from Cross Asset class SMEs as build phasing requires
- Supervision of Test Driven Development phases and management of resources to implement UAT
- Participation in test planning and test execution activities
- Ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
- Monitoring and managing the change process
Core tasks will involve:
- Leading project planning phase alongside IT lead and tracking progress accordingly (incl. management of risk, issues and dependencies)
- Management of team to consolidate business requirements across asset class and ensuring appropriate documentation
- Running workshops and meetings with project stakeholders to resolve key functional dependencies and issues
- Participating in industry and vendor forums to discuss industry and market solutions inline with regulatory requirements
- Working with IT to define solution architecture in line with business requirements and operating model principles
- Working with other (operations, finance, risk) teams to ensure front and middle office design meets F2B integrity across end to end business infrastructure
- Tracking DMO project dependencies and managing mitigating actions should delays occur
- Agreeing and getting Ops business/functional requirements and architecture sign-off
- Collaboration with Data Leads to ensure static data enrichment layer is available within required timescales and is in line with regulatory requirements
- Organisation and support UAT
- Ensuring business readiness and post implementation support
Requirements:
- Previous track record of managing projects with multiple workstreams, multiple stakeholders and across multiple asset classes (detailed knowledge on Front to Back flows/trade capture). Understanding of US regulations and Markets is vital.
- Experience in managing stakeholders across IT, DMO, and within the senior management Steering Committee on a Global level.
- Able to work with legal and Market Data Strategy team to produce/ amend requirements based on market developments
- Capable of working with vendors and participate in industry-wide forums to drive industry and vendor solutions to regulatory issues
- Must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively towards shared goals as well as the ability to set work to own targets deadlines and to manage a team dedicated to the same goals are recognised as key attributes of this global role.
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology and implementation approach is highly advantageous.
- Must be confident in the use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
