Project Manager – Dublin
Project Manager - Dublin - Perm I am currently recruiting for a Project Manager for a north Dublin based company on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
Work with Sales to develop proposals, project budgets, and schedules for proposed Customer engagements.
Work with Customer and Business Analysts to identify requirements and determine in scope and out of scope functional and non-functional requirements.
Provide overall project leadership for all committed deliverables, providing a "one-stop" view of schedule, budget, issues risks and current project status.
Manage project commercials, overall project profitability and delivery in line with contract costs, timescales, quality and specification.
Negotiate with management to ensure that the necessary resources for the project are requested on time, and to manage those resources as appropriate to meet Customer expectations.
Manage the Change Management process during the project to ensure any changes to requirements and/or scope are managed to safeguard both company and Customer in terms of project timelines and project commercials.
Keep Management informed regarding project status through weekly reports and regular project reviews and through escalation of exceptional events. Highlight resource obligations, current status, and critical issues. Escalate issues as necessary to assure timely resolution
Maintain regular communication with Customer regarding project status, highlighting key issues and changes from plan. Escalate as appropriate to assure customer is well informed in a timely, accurate manner.
Ensure all company resources produce the appropriate documentation through the project lifecycle
Experience required
5 years+ experience managing major software projects with overall project, schedule and budget responsibilities.
Experience in management of major supplier projects including complex web site implementation and custom software development desirable

Business Degree

Possess a high degree of flexibility
Must take initiative and work well under pressure
Requirements:
5 years experience as a PM
Exposure to as many of the following areas as possible would be a distinct advantage:
Global Distribution Systems, airline, car or hotel inventory management, distribution, sales, pricing and booking.
Private Fares management, distribution, sales, pricing and booking.
Corporate Travel
Land Product management, distribution, sales, pricing and booking
Strong analytical skills, demonstrated through previous work experience
Good understanding of supporting technology used in the web site and travel industries
Ability to understand business aspects of travel products
Good knowledge of information systems development - especially in the area of Deployment and operations
