Project Manager – eCommerce Application/Software Development Project Manager (Agile, J2EE Systems) recruitment
As Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of a large pipeline of application development projects aimed at delivering world class eCommerce systems which will be used by clients globally. This banking firm is a world leader with a highly profitable private banking business which is currently undergoing rapid growth in Asia due to the increased wealth continuing to be created here.
What you'll be doing:
- Working with the front office business and technical leadership team to create a roadmap of deliverables and commitments by defining clear and attainable project scope, objectives and milestones
- Assuming day to day functional leadership of an agile project team (onshore and offshore developers, QA analysts, business analysts, and technical support) including task estimation and assignment, resource allocation, and milestone tracking for 5–10 simultaneous projects across the entire SDLC
- Identifying and eliminate any project roadblocks proactively through strong negotiation and communication skills
- Creating and managing the product's master calendar of deliverables, and producing regular clear concise status reports to internal management and stakeholders
- Working with internal stakeholders to track progress toward key milestones and report on status, risks, and issues
- Partnering with the business to set and continually manage project expectations and ensuring there is a steady stream of communication and status updates
What you need for this position:
- University degree in a technical, managerial, or related field (additional credentials / certifications such as PMP a plus)
- Minimum 5 years experience as a project manager in a software development environment (agile development a plus), managing 5–10 projects simultaneously
- Strong background and experience performing project planning and control, requirements management and development, systems analysis, and software testing
- Demonstrated business analysis experience, including gathering documenting project requirements, establishing scope, and coordinating with cross-functional teams (especially within a web development/SaaS environment)
- Excellent prioritization, risk identification, problem solving, and collaborative negotiation skills to keep projects moving forward
- Experience working in a client-facing / public-facing web application development environment
- Solid knowledge of J2EE web technologies concepts, including general architecture of web-based applications and relational databases
- Strong understanding of all phases in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Very strong written verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Flexibility to adjust a schedule to meet changing business / client priorities
