Job Description:

 

An IT Project Manager is required to integrate the Electrical Systems Software used for the engineering of the embedded software and electrical components with the future Product Lifecycle Management platform.

 

Manage the IT projects by performing the five Project management core processes (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Control and Close). The management of the project will involving the development and implementation of IT systems to enable business processes that meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

ü  Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of the project.

ü  Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.

ü  Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and provides regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate

ü  Ensures Quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure

ü  Manages the change control procedure, and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off.

ü  Provides effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.

ü  Ensures that own projects are formally closed and where appropriate, subsequently reviewed and that lessons learned are recorded.

ü  Responsible for ensuring the vision, goals, objectives and strategy are defined

ü  Initiates and manages project charter, communication plan and statement of work (SOW)

ü  Verify the business case

ü  Identify and engage project stakeholders and team.

ü  Exercise a governance structure/framework

ü  Create and maintain a program control file

ü  Establish budget with stakeholders including total cost of ownership

ü  Create, manage and continually revise an integrated project work plan (scope, schedule/milestones, work breakdown structure (WBS), dependencies, and estimates)

ü  Ensure dependencies include interdependencies (other programs) and intra-dependencies (within program/critical path)

ü  Conduct all required project reviews and obtain approvals to continue

ü  Interfaces with various levels project customers and the project team

ü  Leads and motivates team to achieve project objectives

 

Experience Required:

 

Substantial Project Management Experience in either

Process improvement in the embedded systems development space

OR

Implementation of Software Development methodologies and processes

Desirable: PMI or APM certified.
