Job

Project Manager / Environmental Analyst to lead teams of environmental professionals and scientists in preparing environmental impact analyses compliant with State, Federal, and/or international guidance and regulations.  Candidate will work with senior managers to assist with leadership, management, and execution of environmental planning projects, expand existing and new client relationships, and contribute to AMEC’s capacity in the environmental marketplace.

 

 

Accountabilities

The successful candidate will report to a Senior Program Manager and work directly with environmental specialists throughout California and elsewhere.  Primary responsibilities will include preparing and overseeing analyses and permitting support of environmental issues in the context of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), California Coastal Act, Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, Williamson Act, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Coastal Zone Management Act, Executive Orders 11988 and 11990, etc.

            

 

Knowledge

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Land Use Planning, Natural Resources Management or related field.

·       Eight-to-12 years experience in performing environmental impact analysis.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·       Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills.

·       Working knowledge of environmental / engineering principles and standards.

·       At least two (2) years proven experience managing NEPA- and/or CEQA-compliant documentation.
