Project Manager – Financial Services Software

Project Manager - Financial Services Software - Perm My client, a leading global application software and services provider to the banking and capital markets industries are looking for a Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for:

Management and control of Software Development Projects to ensure delivery of software on time, to budget and with high quality.
Responsible for the overall transparency of project deliverables through the life cycle phases from requirements to delivery.
Ensure the use of appropriate processes and standards throughout the development lifecycle.
Schedule, monitor and track the project to ensure it meets the deadlines.
Coordinates meetings with client and various internal teams
Creates and executes project plan for delivery
Manages project resource availability and monitors task schedules
Monitors and tracks project progress, managing day to day actions of the project
Defines roles and responsibilities for the team
Publishes weekly status and coordinates weekly status meetings between Misys and the client and stakeholders
Manages change control and provides post delivery support
Establishes lines of communication and escalation procedures
Obtains sign off from the client where necessary
Co-manages the 'Change Control' process with the client's Project Manager
Follows up on the status of open issues
Manages customer expectations
Participates in project reviews

Desired Skills Experience

BS Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software, Engineering.
Degree in a related field and/or Project Management certification (Prince2 or PMP).
10 years of software development experience, preferably in Java/JEEE
Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Minimum 5 years of experience as project manager (lead role with planning, resource management and issue/change responsibilities) that successfully managed a full life cycle implementation. Should have worked in a large organization with cross-functional global teams.
Well versed with Metrics based delivery management and tracking
Ability to effectively influence and interact with many levels of management.
Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict management skills
Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence actions/decisions of others.
Strong people management skills
Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision
Solid logic, organizational and leadership skills
Experience in projects on Banking / Financial Domain/ commercial and syndicated lending will be an added advantage.
Previous experience with the Loan IQ product would be advantageous
