Overview of Client Company:

 

Company is a Colorado based full service General Contractor.  They are committed to excellence in their projects through exceeding client’s expectations for value and quality while performing safely and on schedule.  They offer comprehensive advance planning, pre-construction and design build services on projects such as commercial building, tenant finish, telecommunications, airport facilities and water waste water treatment facilities (to name a few).  Basically, if you have something you’d like built, they can do it! 

 

Our client is experiencing growth and has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Manager. 

 

Estimator’s Role:  Directs the construction phase project team in ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost performance.  Provides leadership and coaching to project team.  Leads meeting sand resolves conflicts, monitors financial performance of the project, managing company recourses and negotiates change orders as necessary to maintain client satisfaction and profitability. 

·         Accountability:  Responsible for company management and the client for dad-to-day performance of the project team.

·         Supervision:  up to 10 direct employees

·         Empowerment in key areas:  Projects company’s professional image as their senior on-site representative and principal point of contact with the client and contractors.  Makes project decisions and develops and implements action plans with minimal guidance from the President.  Guides subordinates in the implementation of established company procedures.  Makes recommendations with major impact on project safety, cost, schedule and quality performance as well as client relationships.

·         Cost:  Well versed in change order estimating and construction costs.  Able to use spreadsheets and other computing tools to organized and present cost and other information. 

·         Time:  Understands CPM scheduling and claims analysis.  Able to prepare summary master project schedules.  Able to develop and analyze detailed construction schedules. 

·         Quality:  Well versed in construction phase quality requirements, coordination and inspecting.

·         Scope:  Demonstrates a broad knowledge of the project requirements, company’s procedures and systems, and construction industry standards.  Experienced in procurement and construction phase operations. 

·         Contract/Procurement Management:  Familiar with procurement approaches and construction contracts.  Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the client-company contract and any other contracts under company purview.  Able to interpret and enforce contract requirements, negotiate complex change-orders and prepare and analyze claims. 

  

Requirements:

·         Experience:  10+ years experience with a diversified background for PM

·         Education:  BS in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management

 

Compensation Benefits:

·         Salary to commensurate based upon experience (minimum of $80k)
