The Project Manager is required to have experience with full responsibility for coordinating medium to large jail projects through all phases of project inception, programming, design, construction, and close-out. Candidate must show experience in the following: - Worked on high visibility, high risk jail projects and related security system requirements - Coordinating and managing the design process and activities - Coordinating and managing the Construction Managers (CM) pre-construction services - Development and management of project specific risk management plans - Development and management of project specific schedules - Development and management of project specific budgets - Coordination of all consulting activities including design, commissioning agents, environmental consultants, move management, etc. - Review in detail all design phase pricing and provide analysis and recommendations for cost control - Monthly project reporting on key performance indicators and metrics (scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, small and minority business participation, etc.) - Coordination and review of CM Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals Qualifications Requires 4-year degree in Architecture or Construction Management. 10 to 15 years of work experience with at least 5 years experience on jails or prison projects required. California jail experience a plus. Professional registration may also be required.
