Project Manager – Insurance recruitment
Responsibilities:
Leading and driving projects to successful completion. Includes project set-up (determining goals, approach, plans), gaining buy-in and sign-off of project setup, engaging suitable resource, managing delivery at task level and above, identifying and addressing any deviations from plan.
Engaging and managing stakeholders internally and externally to ensure business requirements are clearly aligned to the program goals and, in turn, the business objectives are achieved on time and with quality
Reporting of project progress, status, issues etc. to stakeholders
Mobilising the (virtual) program team, working with internal and external stakeholders and overall ensuring the program is delivered on time and with quality, minimising risk and cost of change
Identifying and tracking progress of project risks issues and dependencies, escalating them appropriately with suggested mitigating actions; managing risks, issues dependencies to successful resolution
Utilising strong interpersonal skills to lead the program team, providing direction and motivation, maximising resources, prioritising activities, and balancing conflicting demands
Occasional travel between London and other European offices
Essential Skills:
Strategic change management background with demonstrated expertise in designing and executing transformational, enterprise wide change
Bachelors or Master's degree required, with at least 5 years of relevant Project Management experience, working with multi functional and multi geography clients.
Proven skills in the effective and efficient management of senior stakeholders to inform and influence, including the design and management of formal change management governance processes.
Highly organised, able to work to deadlines and under pressure
Dynamic and pro-active working practice
Proven Leadership skills, working with virtual team and multi location teams
Excellent written and oral communications and facilitation skills
Effective in running meetings via conference calls
Readiness to adapt work and personal schedules to client needs.
Background in financial/insurance services, especially Back Office operational areas
Project Management qualification e.g. PRINCEII
