PROJECT MANAGER – INTERNATIONAL PAYMENTS recruitment

This role will encompass the management of end-to-end system implementations as well as the management of enhancements and on-going production support of existing systems.

 The candidate is required to; 

- Lead a team of perm/contract staff to deliver projects/change requests on time, within budget and meet users’ expectation (with/without vendor package and support) 

- Be responsible for managing pre-project activities such as RFI/RFP/POC and providing updates/recommendations for Management information and endorsement 

- Be responsible for providing timely, efficient and effective maintenance and support to critical application systems

- Be responsible for resource/task planning budgeting

- Be responsible for timely delivery of  impact analysis, functional specifications and technical specifications 

- Be responsible for source code review and ensuring quality testing prior to UAT 

- Work with user on UAT plan schedules

- Prepare presentation material to escalate all issues risks to Management for decision and approval 

- Update management on project status regularly

- Monitor and track all work/activities done by the project/BAU team 

- Supervise, guide and train team member to achieve division/department/team objectives.  

To be successful in this role, it would be expected that this candidate would have at least 10+ years of relevant experience with a proven track-record of successful project implementations in areas such as Remittance, SWIFT/RTGS payment or local clearing. Other Banking knowledge such as Loans, Accounting and Regulatory reporting would be useful, but are not essential. 

From a technical perspective, you will have implemented and supported applications in AS400 or Open system environments, preferably with regional deployment experience, including;

- AS400 COBOL/RPG/CLP/DB2 skills 

- Unix - Weblogic/Tomcat web servers(J2EE architecture), Oracle DB, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, C and Java  

- Familiarity with ConnectDirect, MQ and Change Control tools such as ALDON, IBM Rational Clear Case/Clear Quest.

The successful candidate should be able to provide technical solution, training, guidance support to colleagues so that they can execute tasks effectively to meet project team’s objectives. In addition, you should demonstrate strong knowledge of system architecture and solutioning to ensure that implemented systems meets relevant standards and are scaleable to meet future business needs.
