The Company
Renowned Investment Bank with significant business scale in Ireland is seeking to hire an experienced Banking Project Manager for a challenging role with their dynamic project team in Global operations.
The Role
The Project Manager will manage multiple key initiatives for the bank's global markets business across Trading, Middle Office, Operations and Finance. The scale and complexity of the projects will vary and some may be discretionary while others will be driven by compliance and regulatory mandates. The main objective of the PM's role is to deliver all projects with a view to improve the client experience, support revenue growth, reduce operating costs, drive efficiencies in processes and support delivery of all new products services. Management of a small team of business analysts junior PM's will also be a key part of this position.
Key Tasks:
- Operational analysis and problem identification
- Production of business cases prior to project implementation
- Create project schedule with appropriate milestones
- Assemble and co-ordinate project teams
- Identify, manage and report on any project risks and issues
- Manage acceptance testing in line with testing strategy
- Conduct post implementation reviews
The Person
She/He will have a proven track record in Investment Bankng of delivering complex projects on time and within agreed budget, while being adept at communicating with various stakeholders at all levels of the business.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of Structured Project Management methods (PRINCE 2 / PMP)
- Knowledge of Structured Business Analysis (Six Sigma) techniques
- Financial Services Knowledge (Investment Banking)
- People Management skills with experience of leading and developing a team
- Strong exposure to operational processing in an investment banking environment
