Project Manager is required to ensure the best possible solution is designed to meet the clients needs including
-Quality documentation
-Scope Definition and Changes
-Costs/Quotes
-Status reporting
-Project Plans and/or Schedules
-Quality
-Project Completion reporting Client Billing
-Handovers to Client Services/Production Support
- Being accountable to either the owner or sponsor of the project for delivery of the overall results of the project.
- Maintain a solid working understanding of the primary FD systems used to deliver projects, as well as other emerging technologies.
- Work with all project team members to ensure the quality of their deliverables through mentoring, peer reviews, setting clear expectations, and tracking progress.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders (internal/external, vendor, client, etc).
- Be available for project-related implementation and post implementation support duties, both during business hours and after hours.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge of EFT related trends and issues. Actively research information on Industry changes and announcements
- Look for, and recommend to management, process and product improvements.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Works independently to deliver projects within or beyond client expectations (including estimated vs actual hours spent).
- Has a strong working relationship with team members.
- Generates positive feedback from internal and external clients.
- Regularly implements projects with no impact to the client or BAU systems (through compliance with all problem management, release control and change management processes and procedures).
- Leads by example with regards to work ethic, takes responsibility, and displays ownership for all assigned work.
- Produces project status reporting to ensure all stakeholders are aware of the project progress, and promptly escalates issues to management where required.
- Timely provision of Scope and Quote documents to the business representatives to support the winning of new business.
- Shows consistent good judgement and independent decision making in driving the project towards a workable solution.
Candidate Requirements
Experience:
Strong knowledge/understanding of Project Management Methodologies.
Experience with an EFT transaction switching, on-line banking environment or another payments processing environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to produce high quality documentation.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Analytical and problem solving skills
The following skills are desirable:Experience with Structured Analysis/Structured Design, Exposure to Software Development Methodologies
Education: University level education in a IT related discipline desirable, Formal training in Project Management disciplines required
