Primary Job Responsibilities The project manager has overall responsibility for commercial, technical, contractual, budget and schedule activities on medium to large projects and the development of client interfaces to promote continuing relations. A project manager at this level may have responsibility for management and contract performance across multiple disciplines. This role will manage multiple small projects primarily for clients in the chemical/petrochemical and refinery industries. Training and Experience * This level will require a minimum of seven years experience as a Project Manager or project related experience. * A BS or MS degree is required, and a professional registration or license is preferred. * Prior experience leading multi-discipline small and mid-sized engineering and design projects with chemical manufacturers is required. * Must be proficient with MS Office Suite. * Prefer proficiency with MS Project, Primavera * Must have knowledge of Project Control Other Essential Functions Other Requirements Physical requirements are most often limited to activities typically associated with administrative office work (sitting/standing for extended periods of time, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting of less than 20lbs frequently, etc...). However, will at times involve travel to chemical plants and refineries which may require exposure to temperature extremes and moderate physical activity (climbing stairs, ladders, carrying equipment laptop computer, laser scanning device, etc ). Site visits will also require the wear and usage of personal protective equipment such as fire retardant clothing, hearing eye protection, hard hats and steel-toed boots.
