Project Manager, Welding Automation Equipment
STS, Specialty Tooling Systems, a manufacturer of specialty welding machines (MIG, spot, resistance) and automation assembly equipment is seeking permanent full time employees to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI.
Experience: (10) years of Project Management experience desired. Direct experience / positions held where leading projects with responsibilities as noted below were a part of your daily responsibility.
Job Responsibilities: (but not limited to)
· Ability to communicate well orally written with customers, suppliers and within the STS team
· Proven experience with Project Management:
o Main customer contact - working with a variety of customers, working with all of the project deliverables in a systematic organized fashion
o Travel to customer as required
o Technical / Engineering lead - working with customer’s specifications requirements, Statement of Work, project deviations, leading open issues list, etc.
o Timing - intimate knowledge of project status at all times, accurate up-to-date timelines
o Project Cost – after project budget is approved and set the PM is responsible for the project completing within budget.
o Daily monitoring of the project schedule, cost, open issues, etc.
· Ability to work with a variety of designs; drawings, CAD models, sketches, prototype parts, etc.
· Time management / fast paced environment (ability to quickly react to customer / supplier request, interaction with internal STS associates, multi-tasking (juggling multiple task/projects)
· At times helping supporting the Estimating Group by helping quote new projects, changes to existing equipment, developing a manufacturing process for estimating, etc.
Computer Skills:
· Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
· Understanding file management
· Work related internet use
