Provide project management leadership and support for the Design Control projects, both local and global, including selected large scale Operation's projects and initiatives. This includes the development and monitoring of the project schedule, project plan and monitoring of project goals. Act as knowledge management agent to facilitate the transfer of learning across projects and to thereby improve overall project management within our client. Other responsibilities include the management monitoring of team dynamics/health.
Monitor, address and report timeline and budget variances and contingency options. Communicate project progress within the team, with support functions and with competing project teams. Initiate and lead the development of the project schedule and project plans focusing on: interfunctional connectivity, task relationships and durations, resource analysis and allocation, risks and contingencies. Assist in the development of RD project budgets and forecasts. Set up and maintain tools/mechanisms to track project schedules, budgets, risk/contingency reporting. Assist in the development of project and financial reporting systems.
Create a relaxed team environment to stimulate the group process and facilitate adaptation of new members. Orchestrate the team environment so that the project can be effectively managed, and so that relevant parties are involved. Proactively manage the political, interpersonal and organizational factors that affect a project. Identify and help resolve project conflicts. Be accessible to team members to take advantage of informal interactions that may impact the project. Manage projects in the best interest of team members, stakeholders and customer.
