Freedom Construction Group, Inc. is seeking project manager / estimator for Industrial and Building Construction. Freedom Construction is a service disabled veteran owned company. We target government work, set aside for disabled veteran owned and small business enterprises. Our customer base includes Federal, Municipal, State and Private Clients such as Property Managers, Debelopers, and Industrial accounts. We have a strong, long lasting relationships with several major corporations. The candidate must have experience in marketing/sales, contract negotiations with owner, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors. We require a 4 year college degree and a minimum of 5 years in a estimator or project management position. Must be familiar with AIA documents and their execution as well as government contracting. The perfect candidate would also be a US military veteran but not a requirement.
We use the following computer programs for take-off, estimating, job costing: Timberline, Excel, Word, Bid2Win, Autocad, AGTEK; knowledge of these programs is not a requirement but ability to quickly understand and use them is. Experience directly related to Construction Project Management and or Estimating is a requirement must; we have no desire to cross train from another unrelated field.
This position requires a self motivated, highly organized individual able to multitask, and work with many different types of clients. Candidate will be required to provide weekly/monthly schedules and monthly/annual sales/profit analysis. Must have a excellent understanding of construction accounting from job costing, progress billing, AIA pay request, and collections. Must continuously monitor current projects to ensure they are on time and in or under budget. Must be able accurately account for and explain in detail any cost over/under runs and make necessary adjustments to the budget and or job schedules.
Must be able to resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management. Be able to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Provide historical records by maintaing records on area and customer sales.
