Assistant Project Manager-Construction

 

Purpose: The position of Assistant Project Manager is a key position within the company, in that it lends support to all project specific Construction Department functions. Supports specific project(s) from initiation to completion through responsibilities noted below

 

 

Reports to:       V.P. of Construction

 

Specific Responsibilities:

              Conduct daily site visits to all projects being managed

·          Responsible for project consultant GC contract oversight

·          Correspondence to all owners, consultants, general contractor subcontractors

·          Maintain drawings, contract documents related distributions

·          Responsible for production of all meeting minutes

·          Works with expeditor and contractors/subcontractors in permit process, i.e., DOB filings, approvals, violations, hearings, TCO and C of O documents

·          Budget tracking for multiple projects

·          Insurance tracking for multiple projects

·          Assist in compilation of Bid Packages; responsible for maintenance of bid files

·          Monthly Project Status Reports – responsible for compilation and distribution

·          Maintain Project Directory all project record keeping

·          Maintain Project Calendar/Schedule/coordinate meetings

·          Interface with Property Management and field staff

·          Project closeout documents

·          Monitor project punch list when required

·          Interface and provide back up for other administrative staff members

·          Other assignments/projects as required

 

Qualifications:

1.                  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years project management experience in the field of Construction/Real Estate Development/Management.

2.                  The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, superior analytical skills, must be computer literate, particularly in Word, Excel Microsoft Project.

3.                  The candidate should have proficiency in verbal/written communications, the ability to prioritize duties, exercise good judgment and use discretion when necessary, work under deadlines/pressure, be self-motivated and be able to work with minimum supervision.

4.                  Candidate will be required to support administrative office functions as required.

5.              The Candidate must have residential construction experience particularly with existing structures
