JOB SUMMARY:

Job Title: Project Manager

Reports To: Assistant Vice President, Project Management

Position Summary:

The position is responsible for carrying out the stated objectives of a given project following established departmental project management methodology. This position is required to develop the project plan (with input from key project participants) and manage the scope of the project to bring it to successful completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage projects by setting clear project milestones and deliverables, clearly communicating goals, objectives and responsibilities, keeping the project focused in terms of scope and deliverable management and meeting project timelines. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Create and execute project plans, and other required project documentation, designed to meet stated goals using departmentally established project management tools and principles. Create and maintain all required project documentation.
• Facilitate meetings and conference calls with project participants acting in a consultative capacity. Build and develop business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing. This includes written and verbal status reports at both a team level and a Senior Management Level, as well as, other communications necessary to keep stakeholders informed

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Other Requirements (License, Certificate, Other):

PMP

Work Experience:

3-5 years

Technical Skills:

Intermediate MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Project, MS Excel. Basic MS Visio.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit key. The employee will be required to occasionally travel.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an indoor environment.

Additional Information:

Provide expertise and support to sponsors, management and team members regarding project management processes, tools and techniques. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems as project issues arise. Must be comfortable and able to manage and motivate personnel in a matrix organization, working with employees at all levels within the organization.

Conditions of Employment: Employee must pass pre-employment screening which includes a background check and drug testing. Employee must present documentation to verify minimum of high school educational requirement.
