Position Summary:

Leads cross-functional teams (i.e., marketing, sales, engineering, RD product development, marketing research, and others as needed). Delivers “core growth” projects (time constrained, medium complexity, share gaining) for new products and/or significant cost savings. Acts as primary liaison between general management leadership teams and project teams. Leads projects from initiation (charter) through technical transfer. Organizes the cross-functional activities to ensure completion of the project/product on schedule on budget and within charter constraints. Ensures the development of risks contingency plans. Implements contingencies as needed. Challenges team assumptions for clarity and congruency. Pushes leadership teams to make key decisions timely. Is considered a key business partner and leader by Category stakeholders.

Drive top-line, margin, and/or share growth by leading challenging “core growth” projects

Develop and maintain a high performing organization of enthusiastic owners through active listening, challenging, direction setting, coaching, and execution.

Leadership team influence through data analysis, facts, and critical assessment

Proactively drive process compliance, explicitly declare breakdowns and achieve related goals for those areas of responsibility

Advances project management functional of others through coaching, mentoring

Other Scope Factors:

· Typically leads medium-sized or relatively complex “core growth” projects.

· May also lead consumer perceivable cost savings “costovation” projects.

· May also lead smaller yet significantly complex “rapid response” projects

· May be responsible for a portfolio of these “core growth” and “rapid response” projects in a Category or small Division.

Minimum Requirements:

· 8-12 years leading project teams or organizationsRequired Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications:

- A Broad Functional knowledge (Legal, Regulatory, Manufacturing, RD, Finance and Accounting, and Marketing).

 - Broad industry experience with a preference for Consumer Packaged GoodsKnowledgeable in stage gate process and Project management practices (a certified, professional project manager is desired)

Education Level/Degree:

Bachelor’s degree required (engineering/technical degree preferred)

MBA preferred
