Our client design and manufacture Material Handling equipment for a number of leading oil gas, mining metals and rail companies.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager with 5 years experience working within a Project Management field. As the Project Manager you will control and manage all aspects of contracts and projects that are assigned to you. Facilitate with all departmental interfacing inclusively with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Process and Production Welding Inspection departments.
The chosen Project Manager will prepare and monitor production schedules for end clients as well as manage manufacturing and purchasing documentation for the equipment. Applicants must be self motivated, computer literate with MS Word, preferably MS Project or ERP / MRP Project Systems. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required as well as presentation skills.
Specific requirements / experience for this position will:
- Degree qualified or diploma within an Engineering field
- A minimum of 5 years work experience in a mechanical project engineering or project management position for a Material Handling company
- Exposure to Manufacturing Project Management
- Contractual Inspection quality experience such as inspection, test plans, certificates
- Develop and Implement new and existing projects strategic action plans
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Manage parts progress
- Prepare SAP, ERP, MRP functions associated with the role
- Team involvement contribute to Lean Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Strong people skills
- Excellent customer relationship management and selling skills
- Strong MS Office
