Founded in 2001, Ngarda Civil and Mining is one of the largest Indigenous owned and operated contracting companies in Australia. Formed to provide a sustainable, long term and profitable venture to the life of Indigenous Australians, in part by providing employment and involvement in Australia’s resources and civil sectors, the company currently provides earthmoving, civil engineering and contract mining services. Uniquely placed, working in partnership with Australia’s largest contractor, the board of Ngarda is determined to deliver profitable outcomes for clients and local communities and is now seeking an experienced and committed Project Manager for the Yarrie Mine site.
Reporting to the General Manager in Perth, and as the key point of liaison for the client, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of all Ngarda’s mining functions on site. You will be expected to develop, implement and monitor strategy and business plans against KPI’s as well as deliver a program of continuous improvement with a view to increasing efficiencies. As the most senior person on site you will be required to promote an inclusive culture of high performance, and ensure that the company’s safety and compliance targets, and client expectations are consistently met.
Tertiary qualified in Mining Engineering, and with an un-restricted Quarry Manager’s Certificate, you will be able to demonstrate a history of substantial experience at this level. With a proven track record of delivering results you will have a high level of commercial acumen with sound financial, budgeting and reporting skills. Previous experience of hard rock, open pit mining and some exposure to a contracting environment would be advantageous. In return you will be offered a competitive remuneration package.
