As a Project Manager, you will be part of PNC's corporate staff, working for a parent company with $139 billion in assets, named by BusinessWeek as one of its 2008 "Top 50 Performers" in any industry. As a Manager, you'll supervise a team that supports one of our major lines of business: retail bank, corporate and institutional bank, asset management group, and the PNC Global Investment Servicing funds technology and operations division. Your position will be based in Downtown Pittsburgh.  You will report to a Sr. Finance Manager.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for project management of highly complex projects involving large budgets ($1 million plus or 5,000 hours) and/or complex stakeholder relationships or managing multiple concurrent projects of moderate complexity. Responsible for coordinating all phases of the project including initiation, planning, executing, closing, monitoring and controlling. Performs integrated change management through project life cycle to balance constraints of time, cost, scope, quality, resources, risk and customer satisfaction. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project and meeting deadlines of project. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Analysis and design of objectives and events; planning the work according to the objectives; and assessing and controlling risk (or Risk Management). Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. Define project scope, goals and deliverable that support business goals in collaboration with senior management, IT and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field required.
  • CPA or CMA Certification and/or MBA is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • Seven to ten years of progressively responsible financial reporting/analysis work experience required.
  • Three to five years of project management experience required.
  • Must be able to independently plan and conduct non-routine financial analysis/reporting projects and consult effectively to higher level management.
  • Strong team building and motivating skills.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
