Summary:

 

The incumbents primary job responsibility is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Coordinator will also be instrumental in defining the projects objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.

- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in

  collaboration with client representative and Director of Facilities.

- Set and continually manage project expectations

- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

- Track project milestones and deliverables.

- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and required documentation.

- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and

  devise contingency plans.

- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties

   throughout project life cycle.

- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors,

   and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned

    work.

- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the Project.

- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

- Responsible for facility safety inspections and audits.

 

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration

 

Credentials:

 

Bachelors degree or 7 years related experience in commercial construction environment.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

 

1.      Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management software at an intermediate level.

2.      Demonstrated proficiency with general business acumen.

3.      In-depth knowledge of construction in a commercial and residential environment.

4.      Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

5.      Strong service/quality attitude.

6.      Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and achieve effective time management.

7.      Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple established goals and objectives.

8.      Ability to interface with all levels of management.

9.      Excellent project management skills.

10.  Ability to develop and write project scopes of work.

11.  Ability to solicit and recruit new contractors that are required in the successful completion of any project(s).

12.  Ability to read blue prints and schematics.

 

Physical Functions Required:

Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.  Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 25 pounds
