One of the UK's leading IT Security organisations is seeking a Project Manager for complex consultancy assignments in IT security projects and task definition.
The ideal candidate must:
• Demonstrate excellent skills in the development of project plans and documentation
• Head projects and provide strong leadership for other members of the project team
• Manage communications between all parties
• Demonstrate excellent skills in issue resolution
• Work closely with Resource Management to ensure that project resources are properly scheduled and available
• Steer and co-ordinate resources assigned to their projects
• Ensure the best use of time available is made by all members of the project team
• Ensure all records are complete and up to date
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills
• Demonstrate commitment to delivering projects within time and with budget
• Demonstrate strong skills in analysing customer business processes and technical environments
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of technical solutions within projects
• Demonstrate experience of a wide variety of customer business and technical environments and how these affect the delivery of projects
• Have outstanding business, consultancy and technical skills commensurate with the Information/IT Security and the specific role in question
• Effectively convey the capability of company professional services to customers
• Actively search for opportunities for additional or new consultancy/solutions and opportunities to expand and enhance projects
• Present proposed security solutions to customers at all levels within the organization ranging from a technical to a business audience
• Liaise with the Project Office in preparation of proposals and answering of tenders
• Liaise with the Resource Management and Sales team throughout the sales cycle to quantify, price and organise the consulting resources required for the project delivery
• Providing advice that will promote other products and services at all Management levels within target accounts
You should:
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Be a confident and effective presenter to all sizes of audiences at both customer and public events
• Be committed to the development of their own and other team member skills
• Be able to develop standards and processes for the most efficient delivery of services
• Be self-motivated and self-disciplined with a demonstrable and successful track record in delivering complex consultancy projects to all sizes of organisations
• Have a demonstrable track record in understanding, reviewing and making recommendations concerning the technical and/or business issues of large organisations
• Must be able to achieve goals and objectives, in particular project targets
• Must have a demonstrable track record in sizing, scoping and resourcing professional services projects
• Maintain performance when under stress, and manage time effectively through the application of organisation and planning skills.
• Must be a very strong team player, with positive demonstrable evidence of effective virtual team leadership and virtual team membership roles
• Must have an excellent understanding of the information and technical security issues faced by large enterprise organisations and the security market place
• Be willing to travel both nationally and internationally on occasions
Requirements for this role:
• Preferably degree level education although significant experience and track record with tertiary qualifications would be acceptable
• Possession of a current driving license
• A good level of experience in a similar field
• CISSP Qualification (preferable but not mandatory)
• Recognised qualification (PMP, PMI, MSP, Prince2)
• IT security, finance and banking and large international project delivery skills
