Responsibilities
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end, defining scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Define project success criteria and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Identify and manage project dependencies, critical path, and risks
- Track project milestones and deliverables and ensure the quality of those deliverables
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's in business or related field
- Five years of direct work experience in a project management capacity including all aspects of process development and execution
- Strong familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and/or ITIL project management methodologies
- Technically competent with various software programs such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Flexible and adaptive, reacting to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including upper management, clients, and other departments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to bring project to successful completion through organizational awareness
Recommended Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Solid working knowledge of client/server architectures, software-as-a-service, web-based application architecture, managed services, SAP, and Salesforce.com
