Posted Position Title: Project Manager - Digital Collaboration Career Level: Experienced Function Information Technology Function Segment: Business Solutions Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Connecticut City: Shelton Postal Code: 06484 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose: We are seeking a dynamic, results oriented candidate with strong project management skills and a solid web development background to help drive next generation solutions within GEs new global collaboration platform. The perfect candidate will demonstrate exposure to and knowledge of web 2.0 technologies and emerging social media video trends (I.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Twitter, YouTube, etc...), with a focus on front-end web development programming languages and design methodologies. Essential Responsibilities - Serve as a technical thought leader for the Digital Collaboration team, helping to translate complex initiatives into digital products and services - Lead a team of software developers to create best-in-class, aesthetically beautiful solutions - Work closely with external vendors to drive GE timelines and priorities - Provide vision and leadership across the core development team - Stay abreast of latest technology trends, coding standards, code libraries and frameworks to continually redefine Digital Collaboration's tech stack - Work with both internal and external User Experience (UI/UX) experts to continuously improve user interfaces with the goal of increased usage and customer delight - Coordinate with partner organizations to architect, support and troubleshoot the application infrastructure, with a constant drive toward high reliability and quick resolution of issues Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related discipline - Minimum 3 years of professional technology experience - Minimum 2 years of experience executing high profile projects - Minimum 2 years of experience managing development teams - Minimum 2 years of hands-on coding experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, APIs, etc - Minimum 2 years working knowledge of open source frameworks and libraries to speed translation of requirements into development Eligibility Requirements: - Must be 18 years of age or older - Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
