This is a newly created position and a very exciting opportunity.
We are looking for a talented high-energy Project Planning Manager to join the New Product Development – Embedded Communication Systems team.
SUMMARY:
The Project/Product Manager would be responsible for creating initial plans, working with assigned project leaders, monitoring, coordinating, and driving activities, chair/orchestrating periodic cross-functional project team meetings, actively managing project risks and contingencies, and providing period project updates to executive team.
The project updates consists of progress, risk and contingencies, and update on key project metrics such as resources, costs, and investment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
Ø Minimum of 5 years experience in an engineering Project Management role with involvement from initial concept, to design and right through to production manufacturing
Ø Must have experience with hardware/firmware embedded communication systems
Ø Must enjoy working in an extremely pro-active role where managing projects involves hands-on management of complex and dynamic multi-site projects.
Ø Must have the ability to interact with the Sr. Project Manager, Design Engineering, Manufacturing and Production departments.
Ø Must have experience with MS Project and the ability to constantly focus on delivering high quality and on-time results
Ø Web-based PM tools such as Clarizen or PSNext would be helpful, but not required
