We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Project Manager to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Project Manager, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
The Project Manager will work as the overall Ops Risk Change Portfolio Manager for the Operational Risk Change portfolio And will be responsible for ensuring that all of the Operational Risk Change budget is correctly accounted for in order to ensure delivery to budget.
Additional Position Details:
- You will be responsible for delivery of the individual projects in the Operational Risk Change portfolio (Portfolio) which will include: -
- Defining and agreeing scope for the Portfolio including the integration of change projects with the BAU change process
- Validation and challenge of Portfolio project plans to ensure that they are realistic and achievable
- Establishment of appropriate governance for the individual projects as well as the wider change Portfolio
- Ensuring that governance forums have a clear mandate and record all decisions made
- Management of the change control process including responsibility for the delivery of fully costed change requests, communication of agreed changes to project teams and integration to project plans
- Co-ordination with the Operational Risk line / BAU organisation to ensure that the organisational and business change impacts are documented, understood and accepted. This includes the requirement to update / change existing training materials, organisation charts and role descriptions.
- Stakeholder Management.
- The Portfolio has a wide range of stakeholders from across MIB as well as Group. Strong stakeholder management skills are required to support each group which include: -
- Group level Operational Risk - responsible for strategy and operational risk implementation
- 1st Line of Defence: Includes Front Office business units, Finance, Technology and Operations. They are responsible for the maintenance of controls, delivery of actual operational risk requirements.
- MIB Operational Risk. Provision of specialist advice to enable project delivery, provision of detailed information on policy implementation.
- Risk Project Management Office.
- Responsible for the oversight and delivery of all change projects within the Risk portfolio ensuring that all project delivery standards are met
- Requirement is for the Portfolio Manager is to be able to clearly, concisely and accurately communicate with all of the different stakeholder groups to: -
- Ensure that they are aware of all of the change scheduled and proposed
- Explain what change will be delivered, the rationale and the impact
- Understand what this means to their business process(es)
- Ensure that they are aware of all of the tools and training available to support change
- Provide ad hoc and scheduled reporting to senior management
