Keane currently seeks a Sr. Project Manager to join our team in Albany, NY. Local candidates highly preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years in IT Project Management, to include strong MS Project skills
- 8 years of experience overseeing medium to large scale projects.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing one or more projects involving participation from multiple agencies or multiple companies
Specific tasks and responsibilities to be addressed through these interactions are:
- Define and manage project scope, schedule and budget.
- Ensure project team follows the established project management and system development life cycle.
- Function as a facilitator to identify alternatives when project team issues and priorities conflict. If all alternatives are exhausted, the Project Manager will function as a conduit to escalate issues to Executive Management.
- Conduct weekly communications meetings with representatives from each of the project teams. Meeting minutes and action items will be documented, distributed and managed.
- Function as a facilitator to clarify business or technical requirements which cross project team boundaries, to a point where a strategy for addressing the requirements can be assigned to a specific team or team member.
- Provide weekly updates to Executive Management through a weekly status report and status meetings as required.
- Coordinate with staff including Technical Services, Enterprise Architecture, Portfolio Analysis Group, Customer Service and/or Business Analysis, and external entities, as required, to facilitate completion of project tasks.
- The candidate is expected to display strong interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivation, and excellent presentation skills.
The candidate must have very strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently, but also successfully work on a team.
Certification: PMP
