BASEL III PROGRAM MANAGER (CREDIT RISK / MARKET RISK)
DRIVE QUALITY AND ON TIME GLOBAL PROJECT DELIVERY
PERM, SINGAPORE
We are looking for senior project managers with Basel II / III implementation experience for a perm opportunity in our Singapore Office. Ideally exposure to data management for front office in either Investment or Private Banking space.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsibility for delivery of the Counterparty Credit Risk Non Credit Valuation Adjustments project stream of the overall Basle III program
- The Basle III program has been initiated in response to the regulatory reforms established by the Bank for International Settlements Basel Committee.
- These reforms aim to improve the banking sectors ability to absorb shocks arising from financial and economic stress, whatever the source, thus reducing the risk of a spillover from the financial sector to the real economy.
- Support line management in recruiting project staff (internal / external)
- Support CS internal initiatives to improve project quality management methods and procedures
KEY DELIVERABLES
- Set-up project structure and organization in line with CS project management best practice
- Develop required planning and controlling mechanisms, ensure timely delivery of individual phases within budget
- Manage interface with business clients, stakeholders and other involved parties
- Install and maintain project management best practices like progress tracking, change scope management, risk issue management, budget controlling etc.
- Build powerful scalable team taking advantage of CS on- and offshore centers and apply cost efficient sourcing strategy.
QUALIFCATION
- Proven track record in the delivery of complex IT programs in financial institutions with globally distributed team
- Good understanding of risk management functions and required IT support
- Detailed understanding of project lifecycles in complex technical environments
- University degree education ideally with focus on finance or business administration with banking focus
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent MS Offices skills a must
- Teamwork leadership skills
- Good Communication skills
- High degree of flexibility and “can do” attitude. Ability to work with very limited level of instruction and supervision
- Ideally project management certification (PRINCE II, PMI etc.)
- Knowledge of and/or certification in Quality Management an advantage.
