Project Manager – Risk IT recruitment
Responsibilities:
•Discovery and inception of projects; identifying needs and collaboration with the wider team to propose innovative solutions.
• Coordination of execution across technology and dependent organizations (finance, risk management, operations, middle-office, front-office).
• Financial planning and management of projects.
• Representation of the technology organization to a diverse set of business users. Providing clear communication to all stakeholders, both written and verbal.
• Forging a strong project team that spans across the organization.
• Manage the project in alignment with internal best practices (dbMethods)
• Build and maintain detailed schedule of events for the project.
• Formally manage scope creep / change requests. Clearly segregate BAU from Project work.
• Identify and manage inter-dependencies between projects (including resource scheduling / levelling for the whole team.
• Identify and manage external dependencies for both projects.
• Pro-actively manage risks / issues / actions from meetings on behalf of the team.
• Coordinate testing cycles for end-users so that they are given sufficient notice of upcoming testing requirements
• Coordinate a release schedule that ensures all deliveries are managed as efficiently as possible
• Ensure that all schedules / releases follow appropriate business priority
• Ensure that change is documented – allocate time in plans for generating release notes
• Maintain internal project tracking for both projects including accurate forecasting based on realistic plans
• Publish regular status reports progress against plan, remediation and mitigations for stakeholders
• Progressively elobaorate plans to provide transparency of what the team is doing to managers and stakeholders by publishing milestone and resource plans for the next rolling quarter
• Build a knowledge-base for estimation - track project actuals for repeatable tasks / build template plans
• Lead and document “lessons learned” after each release to continually improve efficiency / effectiveness of the team
Required Skills and Experience:
• Sound understanding of Fixed-Income Derivatives, trade lifecycle, product structure, market composition.
• Appreciation of the complexity associated with Risk and PL computation / Familiarity with a Risk and PL development environment.
• Proven track-record of delivering projects that are sponsored by the front-office, but include stakeholders from all business lines from front to back.
• Appreciation of agile project management methods (PMI or Prince2).
