Project Manager – system integration recruitment
Responsibilities:
General
- Project and client relationship management.
- Coding for IT integration of in house application into client systems.
- IT maintenance including processing change requests.
- Work closely with in house implementation teams on client implementations.
- Ability and willingness to assist in technical product development activities.
- You will interface with clients and be involved in defining technical specifications and co-ordinating the delivery of customised solutions.
- Present concepts and ideas in a concise, persuasive manner and have a track record in managing relationships across both business and technical disciplines.
- Readiness to travel is essential.
IT systems implementation activities
- Gain understanding of the clients systems impacted by in house application and from the given Business specification and produce a Technical specification.
- Resolve any technical or system integration issues with the clients IT specialists and the Development team.
- Assist with building application rule base, in collaboration to clients’ specifications.
- Ensure that initial system and subsequent versions are fully tested before handover to the client for user and acceptance testing.
- Ensure installation tasks are completed to schedule.
- Maintain version and source control of the system during development and after handover.
Project management
- Manage project from conceptualisation to implementation.
- Act as first point of contact with clients on technical matters to discuss the scope of the customisation of their in house application.
- Plan and draw up project schedule clearly identifying responsibility for task completion and deadlines.
- Monitor progress to schedule and communicate any deviations timely.
- Communicate progress to schedule to all concerned parties.
- Provide training to clients.
- Provide ongoing support pre, during and post delivery.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Education is preferred.
- 5 years experience in software development of enterprise web application. Experience in Windows programming, ActiveX, COM fundamentals, Visual Basic, scripting, Microsoft .NET and Java.
- 3 years experience in IT implementation of package solutions and with system integration skills.
- Experience in system testing skills, methodologies and applications/system development life cycle.
- Knowledge of internet/intranet protocols.
- Client / server concept, multi-users applications experience.
- Experience in web services, XML and related standards, SQL.
- Source code control using MS Visual Source-Safe, SVN.
- Microsoft Office expertise; Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Visio, Access, Project.
- Strong communication skills (both spoken written).
- English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluency.
- Basic familiarity with life insurance is a plus.
- Should have a logical and systemic approach to problem solving.
