Our client is a leading TMT solutions provider. Over the past 20 years they have been at the forefront of the UK's telecoms IT revolution and is dedicated to being a recognised leader in transforming the way that today's business operates, delivering value for money TMT services and solutions and a strong focus based upon high quality service provision. There is now a requirement for an experienced Project Manager to join the team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of Project Managing multiple voice and data projects. You will need a good appreciation of PBX / Voice / IPT Telephony concepts (though it is not a technical role). You would probably have gained this experience working for a telecoms reseller. This is a customer facing role and can either be based from our clients Hertfordshire office or home based.

ROLE:

As part of the Service Management team, the Project Manager is responsible for the facilitation and co-ordination of multiple customer installations of a significant size. The primary aim of the Project Manager is to effectively allocate the appropriate resources (e.g. people, software, hardware, communication, quality, risk etc.) in such a way that the project meets key milestones within the defined scope, whilst ensuring quality and agreed timescales are met.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Experience of managing projects in a project manager or similar role.
Experience in a service based role in a communication industry.
Experience of Telephony/PABXs
Prince 2 or similar project qualifications.
OND/HNC or Equivalent in Science or Engineering.
GCSE's in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent).
Exposure to HS legislation, for example running CDM projects, for example CSCS card holder (or similar).
A minimum of a basic understanding of ICT technologies.
Highly accurate with a good attention to detail.
Adaptable management and leadership styles (situational leadership) to get results and to help individuals achieve their full potential.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates the ability to influence at all levels to interact with suppliers and customers.
Passionate about people and delivering customer service excellence to include a sensitivity to ever changing customer and business requirements.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Customer Facing Project Management roles in an ICT environment (supplier perspective).
An understanding of the Alcatel Lucent product range.
Experience of IP Telephony
