Project Manager (Vendor RFP Project)
About the Role
Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to work on an Vendor RFP Project. Macquarie's Technology Group provides each major business in Macquarie with a dedicated team that works closely with that business to understand its particular technology needs. The RMG Risk Services Account team provides technology support for Macquarie's Risk Management Group (RMG) and the Macquarie-wide Risk Services platforms.
RMG plans to undertake an RFP with multiple vendors to select a package for implementation. The Project Manager will drive this project and be responsible for delivering IT solutions that meet the needs of the business and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, track and deliver to an agreed schedule of IT solution rollouts in support of the policies, processes and architecture designed
- Support implementation planning and resourcing analysis to build the budget/business case for each project
- Manage the overall project risks, issues, financials and benefit realisation
- Liaise with project stakeholders, RMG Management team, Vendor Management teams including vendors, to develop detailed project plans once a solution has been approved
- Establish vendor relationships and mange the vendor engagement for the life of the project
- Identify resource requirements and manage IT staff assigned to the programme to achieve assigned outcomes
- Ensuring strong communications channels are maintained with both the team and stakeholders
- Contributing to the identification of the associated business process change resulting from the new/updated solutions The technical solutions need to meet the requirements both technically and functionally (being mindful of user experience and user behaviour)
- Deliver high quality project status reporting to the RMG Management team
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following;
- Prior experience in running RFP's and the vendor selection process
- Experience in managing stakeholders at all levels and facilitating consensus/issue resolution
- Proactive and organised
- Strong leadership and people skills
- Experience in distributed resource models with permanent, contracting, vendor and offshore staff
- Experience in managing all aspects of a large IT program supporting the functional, architecture and infrastructure teams
