Project Manager (Voice and Data – Infrastructure) recruitment
Job Description
- Strong project management background in infrastructure projects specifically on "moves and changes" or office relocations in excess of 2000 users.
- Experience with Voice or Data projects would be an advantage for this role.
- Adopt necessary standard and best practices for project management and ensure compliance
- Plans, directs and coordinates activities of technology projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters
- Understands how to leverage applications for competitive advantage
- Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, negotiate staffing requirements to various project phases
- Collaborate with managers to drive business and technology innovation to achieve business unit’s strategic plan and business objectives
- Collaborate with testing team to define the quality assurance test plans that meet the company practise and standard
- Manage the dynamic project team of individuals who constantly search for creative way to elevate the capabilities of technology systems to meet business needs, partly by capitalizing on emerging technologies and partly by adopting technologies to the needs of the users
- Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle
- Ability to influence senior executives
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in project management role with strong background on Voice and Data projects for large organisations.
- Any background with IPT, Voice Infrastructure and large scale network setups is highly desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications are essential
- Proven experience in managing projects with ability to multitask and manage multiple small to medium projects in a cross-functional environment
- Detailed knowledge of the following disciplines: project and program delivery, portfolio management, application development management, infrastructure development management, vendor management
- Demonstrated leadership potential and with relationship management experience and skills
- Technical proficiency in hardware and system software, as well as experience implementing packages and working with vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; expertise in setting and managing user expectations
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels
- Ability to coach, motivate and develop others
