Project Manager/Business Analyst
Out client a Top Tier Investment Bank is currently looking to hire a Senior Project Manager / Business Analyst to work on EMIR Program of work, specifically focusing on Timely Confirmations stream of work. The job will involve project managing many deliverables across various asset class areas (Rates, Credit, FX, Equities and Commodities) and mainly in the context of Derivative Operations – Docs. The Senior PM / BA will be assisting the Program Director in managing the timely delivery using standard Project Management Techniques and Business Analysis skills. This will involve working very closely with multiple senior stakeholders across F2B organization and to work very closely with the central EMIR Program within The Bank. The Senior PM will also be responsible for carrying out Business analysis work where applicable covering Derivatives and business lines globally.
Position Description
- Professional Project Management across different asset class areas delivering to EMIR Timely Confirmations mandate
- Application of Professional Risk Management, Issues and Dependency management and managing stakeholder relationship
- Provide Business analysis / Subject Matter Expertise covering the entire F2B change from an Operations perspective working very closely with Trading and Sales business management, Derivative Operations and Middle Office groups
- Running working groups and tightly managing the delivery, supporting the Program Director with all relevant presentation materials and the delivery status updates, milestone plans
- Ensuring alignment of build to overall strategic architecture in order to handle scale and multiple customer models
- Standardisation of processes
- Working very closely with senior stakeholders, building the relationships and being creative in solutioning
- Provide a conduit between corporate-wide strategy, innovations and best practices, and the functional departments, and maintains the organisations global business rules.
Job Requirements
- Strong Project management / Business Analysis experience within the Investment Banking industry essential, with a proven record of the management and delivery of a range of system or operational improvement projects.
- Experience as well as a good understanding of the life cycle of Trading, Sales, Middle Office functions, Downstream processing covering Documentation, Settlement, Finance etc.,
- Understanding of Rates products mainly Swaps / FRA / Swaptions / Cross Currency Or any other asset class
- Solid understanding of Project Management concepts, processes and best practices
- Working experience of capturing business requirements and developing detailed functional specifications
- Experience working with global, multi-region initiatives and teams
- Ability to build strong relationship with senior stakeholders, Political savvy with strong navigation skills
- Strong knowledge of Product, Process, Data and IT environments.
- Effective team leader and player, able to work in virtual global teams in a matrix organization (Leader, Facilitator, Partner).
- Ability to work in fast paced environment keep pace with the client offering, technical innovation and market driven initiatives.
- Open minded, able to share information with, transfer knowledge and expertise to/from team members.
