PROJECT MANAGERS – PRIVATE WEALTH MANAGEMENT
ROLE
The Project Manager is responsible for successfully managing a variety of wealth management/CRM projects, assisting our customers to manage and expand their business. The Project Manager takes the leadership in project planning, resourcing, progress reporting, project team management, troubleshooting and the continuing maintenance of good customer relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assumes ownership and responsibility for small, medium and large client implementations from project initiation through successful implementation.
- Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with established processes and procedures.
- Leads teams of implementation consultants, software and system engineers and installation teams through the entire configuration, customization and installation of our CRM/Portfolio Management enterprise software product.
- Facilitates communication both upward and across project team including all project stakeholders.
- Ensures that all aspects and all project deliverables receive the attention and resources required.
- Provides leadership and guidance to all members of the project team. A strong motivator of resources.
- Manages and mitigates risk to successful project completion.
- Controls project scope through definition, identification and formal change request management.
- Delivers quality products and services within a committed budget and schedule, project planning and tracking, resource management, external and internal communications, risk management, contractual issues resolution, billing and building a strong, well-motivated project team.
- Manages all aspects of the implementation of the CRM / Portfolio Management solution at the customer location, including issue resolution, scope management and resource forecasting.
- Works with clients to assess technical readiness and plan software rollout across their organization.
- Works with project resources: analysts and developers to ensure on time, to requirements and within budget delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Financial, brokerage background is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a software development or product customization environment delivering enterprise software projects to the financial services industry i.e. brokerage, investments, mutual fund, banking, pension, trust.
- Minimum of 5 years project management experience in the delivery/deployment of medium to large, complex, enterprise class systems (software and hardware), and experience with large dollar value contracts.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing an external client: negotiating schedules, change requests, dealing with scope creep, and leading technical issues through to resolution.
- Must have experience in the major phases of a software project: analysis, design, testing, implementation planning, installation and training.
- Possess exceptional leadership skills, problem solving abilities, and strong capabilities in planning, organizing and progress control. Have strong negotiation skills, the ability to delegate, and the ability to work with all levels of an organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in recognized project management methodologies, strong written and verbal skills, and an ability to manage a client relationship with senior executives / business users.
- University degree in computer science or engineering is required.
- Strong MS Project, Excel and MS Office skills are mandatory.
- Travel is required – up to 50%
- Certification in Project Management is preferred
