One of Queensland's largest coal miners with operations throughout the Bowen Basin is looking for a Project Mechanical Engineer with fixed plant experience.
Producing over 50mtpa across a number of open cut and underground mining operations, this company ensures best practice across all mining disciplines and aims to recruit the best people in the industry.
As the Project Mechanical Engineer reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your role is to manage the mechanical mechanism of the operation. Details of the role and requirements are below:
Role:
- Coordinate the mechanical maintenance of the fixed plant operation including direction, plant reliability, safety, statutory regulations and operating costs.
- Assist in all design modifications.
- Provide mechanical technical support and advice to the maintenance management for the strategic maintenance plan.
- Provide effective input to maintenance planning and contribute to the financial management of the maintenance function.
- Effective management of all contractors.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven track record in project related work or in a project management role.
- Must have fixed plant experience, preferably in bulk loading facilities.
- Good experience with computerised maintenance management systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
