Project /Programme Manager Job in Newham, London Uk
Our Client, based on the Essex / East London borders (Stratford / Barking / Canning Town / Newham / Beckton) is looking for a strong Project / Programme Manager to take on a very challenging long term assignment (12 months +) to manage a complex project / series of sub projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can offer:
Excellent relationship/influencing skills - the ability to get people working together and collaborating is absolutely key as the project/projects have a significant number of dependencies outside of the job holders direct control and you will be working with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders with differing demands and priorities.
Structured Project Management (Prince 2) with a balanced approach of knowing when and how to bend to meet the needs of projects with aggressive timescales.
Significant experience in office relocation or "new build"projects. This is by no means a technical role but a good understanding of related Infrastructure (Server / VM / Storage /Networks / Wireless from the ground up) is important as is excellent service delivery.
Experience working on public sector assignments would also be very useful.
This opportunity is being offered on a fixed term PAYE basis for 12 months. It is considered a senior position within the department and as such we are expecting that it will attract applicants with significant experience working at a Senior Project or Programme Management level. To reflect the seniority you can expect a salary in the region of £60,000 per annum.
