A main civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Project QS to work within their expanding business. Working on a multi million pound framework within the Edinburgh area.
The ideal person will have Extensive experience in working on civil engineering projects, specifically Earhtworks, remediation, Roads, Highways and Airports
The ideal person must be HNC/HND/ Degree in Quantity Surveying desirable, Strong Commercial Skills, Productive supervision of subordinates including adequate planning, monitoring and control Ability to manage a team on complex projects.
Responsibilities
Full quantity surveying duties
Provision of pre and post contract project control and responsibility
Staff structure and formal routes of reporting
Planning, organisation and control
Monitoring all work executed, at all stages, to ensure that an accurate and professional service is offered
Guidance of team members in technical and contractual obligations and duties
Professional interface with other disciplines and the client's representative
To ensure the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients
