Project Scheduler(Project Management Office) – Microsoft Projects recruitment
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the IT Program and Project Managers in ensuring successful delivery of Projects.
- Help PM in project planning activities and setting up the project task list, Microsoft Project schedule and other project related setup activities as per PB IT CMMi guidelines.
- Maintain project’s baselines of scope, cost, time and quality as per signed of Project plan and process guidelines. Ensuring proper change control process and Config management guidelines are applied to these.
- Monitor and Track, project effort spent (time clocking by resources), project cost, schedule and report/escalate to IT PM on a weekly / Monthly basis.
- Monitor and track resource commitment against defined budget.
- Develop, maintain and support an approach to project progress monitoring that satisfies the needs of all stakeholders.
- Assure that program adheres to the valid deliverable and process standards
- Maintain the program’s library of approved deliverables together with associated quality records.
- Tracking progress against the plan, facilitating the resolution of issues, highlighting resource constraints and tracking actions
- Be a central source of information about the program
- Help manage project perturbances by assigning and monitoring actions against risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions
- Provide administration services including:
- Meeting preparation, meeting facilitation, minutes and tracking of actions
- Maintaining and publishing the project information and communications on the intranet info centre (if available)
- Validating time recording as part of invoice processing
- Provide valid resource information to HR and Finance for reporting purposes
- Help with the preparation of presentations
- Review official deliverables and ensure proper formatting and wording
- Monitor the usage of proper folder structure and document naming standards and encourage ‘continuous improvement’ in the refinement of standards to support the project’s objectives
- Other ad hoc admin support for Program team members
Requirements:
- Experience of Project Support, applied in a medium-sized projects/programmes
- Ability to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders within the projects
- Good knowledge of best practices in Project Management Support
- Self starter and pro-activeness (Initiative Drive)
- Team player
- Effective communicator
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Expertise in Microsoft Project, preferably in a programme environment
- Effective communicator
- Sound evaluation capability as regards escalation in terms of timing and setting priorities
- Diplomatic and discrete handling of issues between different parties in the project and external suppliers
Role is initially offered on contract for 12 Months with a view to turning permanent.
