Job Description
As Project Signalling Engineer based in Perth, you will have the responsibility to prepare and supervise the design specifications of all rail signalling outputs according to statutory requirements. You will also modify existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors. As a key player in the delivery of projects you will also provide technical information: signalling techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations that effect long range planning.
The Successful Applicant
In order to be considered for the role of Project Signalling Engineer the ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Extensive experience in a similar position with demonstrable signalling and breaking systems expertise gained from exposure to large engineering, rail and infrastructure projects, ideally within an EPCM environment
- Previous experience in the design/checking (and ideally testing) of railway signalling systems
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills and have the ability to work as part of a team in order to achieve tight deadlines
