My client is a market leader providing products and services to the railway, mining and exploration industries. The Head Office is in Perth, Australia, with offices in Derby, UK.

 

Due to ongoing project demands, my client has superb opportunities for Site Supervisors to join their team in Port Hedland, Western Australia on a contract basis for up to two years depending on candidate preference.

 

Reporting to the Project Site Manager, these roles role will involve leading teams on a shift basis to deliver the efficient installation, testing and client acceptance of engineering systems within the mineral resources management environment to a high standard of quality, on time and to budget.

 

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

 

·         Ensure compliance to all health, safety and environment systems and processes for all staff and installation requirements.

·         Ensure that teams work efficiently to deliver electrical and mechanical equipment systems installation and configuration management.

·         Carry out daily pre-start, JHA’s and risk assessment, safety inspections and staff assessment to regulatory requirements.

·         Manage the equipment testing processes and ensure that technical acceptance of equipment and quality of all workmanship is carried out to client requirement.

·         Carry out staff communication processes, training, inductions and competency controls to ensure all staff meet working compliance requirements.

·         Carry out reporting performance to quality, schedule and budget requirements.

·         Ensure all materials and logistics are managed to meet equipment installation schedules within a safe working system of operation

·         Coordinate all subcontractor shift working patterns

 

The ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:

 

·         Electrical and mechanical technical equipment installation, testing and commissioning experience in a mining resources environment

·         HSEC processes and systems

·         Risk management processes and procedures

·         Excellent leadership, communication coordination and interpersonal skills

·         Experience with logistics management
