Project Specialist (Cash) recruitment

Job Description

The Cash Project Specialist is responsible for delivering projects/sub-projects that may cover more than one country but directly related to the Cash and Clearing Business at Standard Chartered Bank NY, DE and JP. The project specialist is expected to have expertise in Funds Transfer Processing ideally with ACI MTS System knowledge. A proven track record of project leadership and test compilation execution and management and documentation required. Knowledge of SWIFT, FED, CHPs required and knowledge of Target, SEPA, BoJ and OFAC/Sanctions Screening concepts are highly desirable.

Key Roles Responsibilities

* Manages delivery of a group of small projects, ultimately across all phases of the project life cycle, primarily during Quality Assurance and UAT phases.
* Defines detailed Business Requirements applying Payments and Clearing knowledge to facilitate the delivery to market of Product enhancement requests. Facilitates definition of benefits cases.
* Responsible for analyzing enhancement requests and developing the planning and executing of QA and UAT testing, scheduling implementation, and handover to business.
* Required to prepare QA and UAT test strategies and develop reusable test cases, conditions and scripts.
* Assist Project Managers in communication with key stakeholders and project working and steering committees.
* Identifies inter-dependencies with other projects and highlight resource bottlenecks.
* Designs and implements process flow enhancements that work effectively and maximises efficiency.
* Reviews and monitors risk mitigation and contingency plans, and escalates issues to the appropriate responsible party.
* Monitors issues and ensures that resolution is reached, or escalates issues to the appropriate responsible party.
* Monitors project progress and ensures target project completion dates are met and/or escalates issues to the appropriate responsible party.
* Adheres to project management principles and techniques, including Continuous Improvement and QMF Lite.
* Provides expert Quality Assurance of Payment software delivery before UAT and provides training support for enhancements and new products.

Qualifications Skills

* Three years of Funds Transfer / Clearing experience required
* Knowledge of SWIFT, FED and CHIPs required and knowledge of Japanese and German clearing highly desirable
* Experience with large payments systems required and ACI MTS (Money Transfer System) knowledge preferred
* Proven Project Leadership and Business Analysis / Test Management experience required. Project Management experience desirable
* ***Moderate Business Travel expected***
* ***Bachelors (4-year college) Degree preferred***
