Project Specialist Job in Haverhill

Our client is a successful Pharmaceutical business and they are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager / Specialist to take control of a number of ongoing projects on their site in Suffolk.

Purpose of the role
To establish and manage teams to deliver projects ensuring timely and efficient execution.

Role Dimensions
Reports to Head of Materials Management and supports the operations project activities including new product introduction and portfolio management in support of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Facilitating the planning and execution of projects in delivery of the secondary operations goals
Leading cross functional teams to meet project milestones / budget adherence
Developing detailed project plans and communicate effectively with the project team
Providing regular professional communications to all levels of the organisation
Working closely with internal and external customers and manages contractor / supplier relations.
Establishing best practice project management tools and identifies opportunities for improvements
Coaching others to develop project skills within the value stream

Scope/Impact
Work is not supervised directly but reviewed against project plans and results. Once aim is established will proceed under own direction. Plays a key or lead role in project teams.

Knowledge, skills and experience required

* Degree qualified and / or significant work experience of managing multiple projects in a previous Project Management role.
* Qualified in either Prince 2, Lean, Six Sigma, PMI preferred.
* Proven ability to manage significant projects and/or multiple projects at any one time.
* Has an excellent knowledge of different project management tools.
* Demonstrated background in supply chain / operations.
