Are you searching for a challenging and rewarding occupation?  Heartland Services has career opportunities for experienced projector hardware repair technicians.  Specifically we are seeking technicians, to join our rapidly growing department, with proven abilities in troubleshooting and repairing several different types of commercial and personal projectors.  Individuals must be flexible to work 6-8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

·        Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose projector hardware and failures

·         Replace, adjust and/or repair faulty components

·         Conduct testing and troubleshooting functions with the assistance of information in the form of written or verbal descriptions/diagrams

·         Perform data input of required material

·         Perform work in a darkroom environment, distinguishing different colors hues and shades of black and white for projector color adjustment

·         Perform quality inspections on completed processes

·         Miscellaneous daily tasks including shipping and clean up activities

·         Lifting and moving projectors in cases, with a weight of 20 to 70 lbs.

 

Qualifications:

 

·         AA/AS degree in electronics with 2 year minimum related experience.  In lieu of degree, camera, TV and small electronic devices repair experience a plus.

·         Extensive experience in troubleshooting and replacement / repair, down to the subassembly level, including but not limited to the removal and replacement of electronic components

·         Must have the ability work in a darkroom environment, to distinguish different colors hues and shades of black and white.

·         Self starter, possess good organizational, decision-making, and logical troubleshooting skills

·         Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals

 

 

If you have skills that do not meet the repair requirements of this job, you may also qualify for a position in another area of our company.  These positions currently are as follows:

 

·         Testing of computers and related parts using diagnostic and system software

·         Controlling and monitoring the quality of repaired products

·         Shipping and receiving equipment/parts

·         Assisting with inventory control

·         Repairing commercial / personal projector

·         Repairing laptop PC boards and other components

·         Providing hardware / software helpdesk support

 

Your resume must indicate the specific skills and work experience you have in hardware repair.  This is bench technician work.  It is NOT helpdesk, networking, software applications, or PC assembly work.  Applicants must be very dependable and have an excellent attendance history.  Drug tests and criminal background checks will be performed.  Qualified candidates must be highly motivated, show aptitude for learning as new products are introduced, and have a strong desire for career stability.
