Projects Lead
Business Context
BP is one of the three largest energy companies in the world, operating in over 100 countries across 6 continents.
BP's Alaska Region is a major component of the BP's existing group of businesses. Alaska is further distinguished by a very large, but technically challenging, resource base covering mature giant fields, satellite developments, large scale heavy oil potential, world-scale mid-stream assets, and a major long-term gas commercialization opportunity. The Alaska resource base supports a 50 year future for BP in Alaska. Realizing this requires a balance of managing the existing production, renewal of the infrastructure, facilities and people and establishing a bridge to the growth of the future.
The Region includes over 2000 BP employees and 7 producing fields across 2 business units.
This growth is compelling the Region to move to the forefront of technology enabled business processes. Underlying the success of these business objectives will be the integration of digital technology and information. Upstream ITS and other key stakeholders in the business are critical partners in Alaska's success.
